Plain-English definitions for the terms you'll meet across Adswish — campaigns, money movement, and compliance.

Tracking link

A unique URL Adswish generates for a creator on an affiliate or hybrid campaign. Sales made through it are attributed to that creator, who earns 90% of the attributed revenue.

Attribution

The process of connecting a sale to the tracking link (and creator) that produced it. Attribution only counts while the campaign is live.

Hold

After a deliverable is approved or a sale is tracked, the creator's earnings sit in a hold for 7 days before release — a buffer for disputes and refund windows. the payout timeline.

Release

The automatic step where a held earning moves to the creator's wallet once the 7-day hold expires. Released money is withdrawable.

Platform fee

The part of an order Adswish keeps: a flat 10% of the order, with a £10-equivalent minimum on smaller orders (never more than the order itself). Stripe's processing costs are charged to businesses separately, at cost with no markup, and reconciled monthly. Billing is always in pounds sterling.

Fixed-fee campaign

A campaign where the creator is paid a set fee on approval, rather than earning per attributed sale. Fixed-fee posts do not use tracking links.

Affiliate campaign

A campaign where the creator earns a share of attributed sales made through their tracking link. These posts must carry a clear #ad label. the #ad disclosure guide.

Hybrid campaign

A campaign combining a fixed fee with affiliate earnings per sale. Hybrid posts use tracking links and are subject to the same #ad labelling rules as affiliate posts.

Tiers (small / mid / macro)

Creator bands by follower count that unlock campaign types and concurrency limits. understanding creator tiers.

SLA dispute

A formal, human-reviewed challenge to a decision (for example a rejection that contradicts the brief). Disputes are escalated to the admin queue at 48 hours and auto-dismissed at 72 hours if unactioned. rejections and disputes.

Consent-gated telemetry

Analytics that only start after a visitor accepts cookies. Nothing is stored or transmitted pre-consent; session IDs are random and carry no profile.

Consent record

The ICO-ready log of every cookie-banner decision, stored with one-way hashed identifiers for 2 years, exportable by admins as CSV with a cover memo.

paused_budget

A campaign status meaning the budget ran out. Existing approved work stays payable (money already held), but nothing new starts. campaign statuses explained.

Wallet

Where a creator's released earnings accumulate until withdrawal. Money in the wallet is withdrawable to the creator's connected account.
