Rejections and disputes

4 min read•Updated Sep 2026

1When a business rejects work

A business can reject a deliverable you submitted. When they do, they must give a reason, and that reason is shown to you — you always know why work was sent back. If the deliverable was an affiliate post, its tracking link is revoked at the same time, so a rejected post can no longer earn.

Rejection is not the end of a job: you can fix the issue and resubmit unless the business has cancelled the campaign.

2Change requests vs rejection

  • Change request — the business sends the deliverable back with notes. The job stays open and you revise and resubmit.
  • Rejection — the business declines the deliverable outright with a stated reason. For affiliate work the link is revoked; a fixed-fee job returns to you to redo.
  • Cancellation — the campaign itself is cancelled. Attribution stops and pending work ends.

3Opening a dispute

If you believe a decision was unfair — for example a rejection that contradicts the brief, or an approval that never arrived within the promised window — you can open an SLA dispute from the deliverable in your dashboard. Include the specifics: what the brief promised, what was delivered, and what happened.

  • Evidence — attach screenshots or links. Every piece of evidence you attach is visible to the reviewing admin.
  • Good faith — disputes are reviewed by a human. Clear, factual submissions get resolved fastest.

4What happens to a dispute

Open disputes are escalated to the admin queue at 48 hours, and automatically dismissed at 72 hours if no admin action has been taken — the system itself is set so a dispute can't silently sit forever. You are notified of the outcome.

See also how and when you get paid — approval starts the 7-day hold that precedes your payout.
