How and when you get paid
1The money flow
- 1. Approval: the business approves your deliverable (fixed-fee) or a sale lands through your tracking link (affiliate).
- 2. Hold: the money sits in a 7-day payment hold — this protects both sides if a customer returns the product.
- 3. Release: after the hold expires the money becomes available to you automatically.
- 4. Payout: Adswish pays out to your Stripe Connect account, which forwards to your bank.
2The 7-day hold
Every payment holds for 7 days from approval (or from the tracked sale). It feels slow the first time, but it is the reason businesses trust the platform enough to pre-commit budget: if a customer refunds the order, the payment reverses before it ever reaches your bank — you are never asked to pay money back.
3Payouts to your bank
Payouts require two things, both under Dashboard → Payouts: completed Stripe Connect onboarding, and an approved tax form (W-9 or W-8BEN). Once both are done, released earnings pay out automatically — you can watch every step on the Payouts page.
4Fees, honestly
You keep 90% of every standard order. The platform fee is 10% with a £10 minimum on small orders — the minimum keeps every job meaningful, and the same rule applies to every creator on every plan. The split is calculated cent-exact by the same code that powers the public fee calculator, so the number you see is the number you get.
5When things go wrong
If a business rejects your deliverable, the tracking link is revoked and no further sales are attributed — but sales already made are not clawed back. If you disagree with an approval decision, you can raise a dispute from Dashboard → Earnings: it escalates to Adswish admins at 48 hours and is auto-dismissed at 72 hours, so decisions never stall silently.
